Sometimes we all need a good kick in the taste buds! I love the classic dishes, but sometimes a nice dose of “KAPOW” makes a classic even better. I spend a lot of time in the grocery store. While my son is doing his martial arts training, I’m next door at the market doing my weekly shopping. I’m a familiar face to the people working the cheese counter. I’m undecided if it’s a positive or negative. They do lead me to the best cheeses I’ve never heard of, so I will count it as a win. A few weeks ago, Yancy’s NY Cheddar with Buffalo Sauce caught my eye. I had no clue what I was going to do with it when I made the purchase. A week later I realized I had better use it or lose it. I decided to use it to make a non-traditional alfredo sauce. Just like that, Some like it Hot Alfredo was born. Never be afraid to try something new! You just may crank out your next favorite dish.
- 1 Stick of butter
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- ¾ cup of Yancy's NY Cheddar with Buffalo Sauce
- ¾ cup of Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Clove crushed garlic
- ½ chopped parsley
- In a medium saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add in cream and garlic and stir to incorporate the butter. Let simmer for 5-10 min then add and cheese. Wisk together until cheese is melted and heated through. Remove from heat and stir in parsley. Salt and pepper to taste.
